Atlanta native T. Jamal Lee brings a unique blend of educational experience and a passion for community development to the world of financial advising. His journey, deeply rooted in service and learning, has taken him across the globe, shaping his commitment to making a positive impact on individuals and families.

Before entering the financial services industry, Jamal’s career path was marked by his dedication to education. He taught English in Guinea, Peru, China, and the US, serving diverse communities. As an Adjunct Professor of Sociology at the College of Mount Saint Vincent and a Reading Intervention Specialist with Latin Grammar Academy, Jamal excelled in identifying learning blocks and finding solutions to help students improve.

Jamal’s commitment to community development extended to his role as a Public Health and Community Development facilitator for Peace Corps Guinea. He leveraged human-centered design and grassroots development principles to make a lasting impact. His initiatives included teaching English, conducting educational forums on Malaria prevention and Child nutrition, and training youth in entrepreneurial principles.

Driven by personal experiences, Jamal transitioned to the financial services industry in 2021. His primary “WHY” stems from his wife’s battle with cancer, emphasizing the urgency of life insurance coverage. His secondary “WHY” revolves around demystifying financial knowledge for traditionally impoverished communities.

Jamal’s mission is to be a one-stop-shop for his clients’ financial needs. He plans to use his vast network to attract clients nationally, building plans around their specific financial goals, career trajectories, family structures, and desired retirement ages. His three-phase approach covers Risk Management, Wealth Accumulation, and Wealth Preservation & Distribution.

Beyond professional goals, Jamal aspires to work with athletes and entertainers, helping families navigate wealth sustainability in fields known for inconsistent pay and early retirement. His long-term vision includes giving back to underprivileged communities through educational workshops on financial literacy and generational wealth.

Outside of work, Jamal enjoys traveling to new countries. He has lived in Africa, Asia, and South America and speaks both French and Spanish.

Jamal actively contributes to community organizations. He serves as the Chairman of the Young Entrepreneurs Collaborative at the Atlanta Black Chambers and holds the position of Executive Director at Afrikan Unity Initiative Inc.

Jamal has been happily married to his wife, Mariama Sadio Lee since 2015.
