Michael Cousar

Michael D. Cousar is a seasoned insurance professional with more than 30 years of specialized experience. As a Disability Insurance Specialist (DIS) with Consolidated Planning, he draws on a career that began with The Paul Revere Insurance Group in Atlanta to help clients protect their financial futures through thoughtful income protection strategies. His practice focuses on executive benefits and corporate solutions, with particular focus in Life and Supplemental Long-Term Disability coverage.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Michael is deeply committed to serving his community. He founded a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding athletic opportunities for underserved youth and has served as an Elder in his church. His civic involvement also includes past board service for a local orphanage and his current role on the Anderson, South Carolina Board of Architectural Review.

Michael resides in Anderson and is a proud graduate of Auburn University. A loyal supporter of the Auburn Tigers, he enjoys spending time on Lake Hartwell with his wife of 26 years, Dr. Carrie Davis Cousar, and their four children.
