Bud Kelly

Bud was born and raised in Monroe, Louisiana and now lives in Atlanta, Georgia. He began his professional career outside of the financial services industry, spending several years in a sales leadership role within the fiber‑based communications space. When that role was eliminated, Bud saw it as an opportunity to pursue a more meaningful, purpose‑driven career—one focused on helping families build strong financial foundations. That path led him to CP, where he was drawn to the firm’s supportive culture and the flexibility to implement the right strategies for each client. His professional background brings a practical mindset and strong communication skills to his work as a financial representative. 

Today, Bud focuses on serving corporate managers, pharmacists, and business owners, with a particular passion for working with couples raising children. His ideal clients are families who want to be proactive and intentional about planning for their children’s financial future. Clients value Bud’s transparency and the clear vision he brings to financial planning, especially when helping parents think long‑term and across generations. His mission is to educate families honestly and thoughtfully—setting a higher standard for financial planning that begins on day one and supports lasting financial success. 

Outside of work, Bud enjoys staying active and curious. He has a lifelong appreciation for boxing, whether training to stay in shape, watching live matches, or studying classic bouts from past decades. He also enjoys puzzles and strategy‑based board games like Monopoly and Cashflow, reflecting his natural love for problem‑solving. In his free time, Bud values traveling with his family and creating meaningful experiences—an extension of the same priorities he helps his clients plan for in their own lives.
