Tom, a 1993 graduate from the University at Albany, relocated to Charlotte from Upstate NY in 1998. He was introduced to the planning process as a prospective client and was able to see the value proposition that Consolidated Planning (CP) brings to those they work with. Tom joined CP in 2001 with the opportunity to build a career in financial services.
The scope of Tom's business is to build client relationships that provide opportunities for individuals and small business owners to achieve their financial goals. By meeting clients wherever they are on their current plan, Tom is able to provide guidance and strategies to improve efficiencies, increase cash flows, and ultimately transfer their wealth to those they care most about.
As a student of this profession, Tom continues to build his knowledge and experience in the areas of accumulation, retirement and estate planning. He has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional designation in 2007 after attending Queens University of Charlotte; holds Series 6,7,63 and 66 securities registrations; Life and Health and Long Term Care licenses; and is an Investment Advisor Representative. He has appointments in multiple states to conduct both investment and insurance business.
Tom is a member of the Charlotte Chapter of the Financial Planners Association (FPA) and is a Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Qualifier. He has achieved Leaders Club status for The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America on multiple occasions and is appointed to represent a number of other insurance carriers. Tom is a mentor to, and works jointly with, the new CP advisors.
Tom and his wife, Char, have 2 children, Lindy and Beckett. They are members at Carolina Golf Club and attend St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. Tom was the assistant coach for Charlotte Catholic High School's Varsity Lacrosse program from 2001-2009 which participated in 4 state championship games, winning 3 of them during his tenure.
